Projects
All children in the school will benefit from this having this new facility. It will be used by Senior School students for independent play at morning interval and lunchtime. This will free up the other two playgrounds so that the Middle and Junior School students have more allocated time on these playgrounds. The Junior and Middle School students will also use the new playground extensively under supervision as part of their class fitness and physical education programmes. Point View School Wall Mural 2007 To celebrate the 10th anniversary of our school opening we decided to create a wall mural using our school motto “Learning Together”. Children were selected from the middle and senior areas of the school to work on the mural. They looked at the work of the famous artist Picasso, particularly focussing on his painting of a “lady in the mirror”. In this painting Picasso painted the lady as she saw herself, not as she actually looked. The children then brainstormed ideas about their own personal characteristics, likes and dislikes. They used these ideas to form the way in which they portrayed themselves in their individual paintings. The backgrounds were then painted to enhance their portraits. We think they did a fabulous job and hope you enjoy their work too!
