Library and ICT Suite
Our library is a bright, spacious, user-friendly facility which is the hub and heart of learning in the school. The library is the centre of the school community, promoting personal reading and information skills for lifelong independent learning. The Board of Trustees fund a full time Teacher Librarian and a full time Resource Manager to organise, promote and manage the Library. The Teacher Librarian promotes the use of information literacy skills throughout the school by working with syndicates planning Inquiry Learning and other units, and working with groups of children to teach information literacy skills in the context of their current learning. We have a fully automated library database. The library collection and all teaching resources are entered onto this so access to all resources is quick and easy. The school-wide network enables students and staff to access the Library database from anywhere within the school. Adjoining the library is our ICT suite which has eighteen computers. All classes use this on a rostered and informal basis.
