Our library is a bright, spacious, user-friendly facility which is the hub and heart of learning in the school.
The library is the centre of the school community, promoting personal reading and information skills for lifelong independent learning.
The Teacher Librarian promotes the use of information literacy skills throughout the school by working with syndicates planning Inquiry Learning and other units, and working with children and teachers in the classroom to teach information literacy skills in the context of their current learning.
We have a fully automated library database. The library collection and all teaching resources are entered onto this so access to all resources is quick and easy. The school-wide network enables students and staff to access the Library database from anywhere within the school and from home.
Children visit the library with their class each week to learn library skills and to find and share books for their own personal reading. The Library is also open at lunchtimes.
