Welcome to The Middle School! Our focus this term is on Future Travel - we are thinking about challenges in the future. We visited MOTAT to look at the history of travel and to look at what the future might look like for us. What problems will we face? What will the biggest CHALLENGES be?
Room 11 - Collage Animals
Room 12 have created cat dog collage pictures! They painted their tartan backgrounds and then collaged the animals. We dig those dogs! They are Grey Friars Bobby, a very famous Scottish story about a dog and the background is tartan. Room 12 - Collage Pictures
Room 12 have been creating awesome lion collage pictures!
Jandal art by Year 4, Room 13.
Rugby World Cup collage and Future Travel! Room 14 - Flat Stanley Project
We have been a part of the Flat Stanley Project, writing to a class of 7&8 year olds in Pennsylvania, USA. They have sent us Flat Stanleys and we sent ours to them. It has been so cool to get to know what it is like being at school somewhere else in the world.
We have also invented Superheroes! Room 15 - Rooster Art
We have created collage roosters. Room 15 used some dye and watercolours for the background and added the collage paper. We shared them on Grandparents' Day!
What fun was had at our MOTAT trip as we learnt about the past and how transport worked in the past. Now we are thinking about how the future looks... Room 16 - Guy Fawkes!
We created cool images of fireworks to celebrate Guy Fawkes!
Scribble pictures! Room 28 - Maths
Room 29 have written mystery poems, using descriptive language.
We have been exporing tessellations, reflection, slide, flip and more! Room 29 - Future Rockets!
The children have created colourful images of the rockets of the future! Room 30 - Aliens invade!
