We have been talking about friends, because they are special. We decided to make little paper friends. We cut out people shapes from paper and coloured them to look like us. On them it says how to make friends because we all want new friendships in our class.

What gifts and talents make a great friend? |
Room 11 - Discovering Mummies
In Room 11 we have been learning all about Ancient Egypt. In Ancient Egypt when someone important died they were turned into a mummy. This is called being ‘mummified’. There were people whose job it was to mummify the dead – they were called embalmers. After learning about mummification we decided to have a go at making mummies ourselves. We acted out all the parts of making a mummy, like taking out the brain with a hook, rubbing the body with perfumes and oils, and wrapping the person with bandages. |
Room 11 have looked at Sir Peter Blake. We worked with Mrs. Munro and Mrs. Randle to examine his gifts and talents. What made him so successful in sailing? Come into our class and find out!
