In Term 3 we were focusing on national challenges.

In Room 19 we have been learning about endangered New Zealand animals and also about the rugby world cup. Here is a poem about the Rugby World Cup.

Be The Game

The stadium wants to be the field,
holding all the players.
The field wants to be the haka,
scaring off the opponent.
The haka wants to be the jersey,
clothing all the players.
The jersey wants to be the coach,
bursting with pride.
The coach wants to be the team,
scoring the winning try.
The team wants to be the crowd,
all in black and white.
The crowd wants to be the captain,
holding the golden cup.
The cup wants to be the flag,
being waved proudly in the air.
The flag wants to be the stadium,
shielding players from the rain.
