The Point View School Waterwise programme is in serious jeopardy of having to stop, due to the lack of community support. This is a final plea to any parents who are able to train as instructors. If you think you are able to help save the programme please contact Robyn Hibberd.

You can see more of Room 21's Waterwise advertisements on their wikipage.

This is the year that our country New Zealand, hosts the Rugby World Cup.  So our school decided to take the theme:
One World – Many Cultures.
Each class from the Junior, Middle and Senior areas of the school took a country from around the world and presented some form of wearable art that depicted that country. They also selected music to walk their outfits down the catwalk to. Every child in the school walked up the catwalk (which is pretty amazing considering we have over 800 students). The results were fantastic, with parents and friends invited to two different parade days filled with an amazing array of artwork.

The SPCA Cupcake Day was held at the end of August. Many cupcakes were baked to be sold to raise money for the SPCA.
These were sold over two days as we had so many to sell. Everyone enjoyed eating the cupcakes. In total $1076.90 was raised. The SPCA will use this money to help injured, sick and abandoned animals.

Everyone at Point View School turned up wearing their red and black clothes for our mufti day. This was to raise money for the people in Christchurch. Students from Room 27 also baked food to sell. We managed to raise $3332! Have a look at some of the awesome photos below, some also made in onto the NZ Herald website.
