What a neat experience to start with an old plastic bottle, some torn up paper, glue and cardboard and create an artwork that is then placed in a public exhibition for all to wonder at and admire
The Point View Art Exhibition really brought a focus to the visual arts at the school.
I know that I speak for many families when I say that the variety of different artists studied, the range of creative designs produced, the attention to detail and the overall aesthetics of the exhibition were mightily impressive.
Grandparents’ Day provided another forum to showcase Point View student talent. Thank you for turning out in such large numbers and for interacting so wonderfully in class.
We value the wisdom and experience of our grandparents who are influential role models on students. When grandparents take the time to show that they value a child’s education they motivate and inspire their grandchildren into a greater love of learning.
Our recent athletics events have provided great fun and excitement for the senior and middle school students. I was particularly encouraged to see so many parents at school supporting and helping out with the activities. We have some talented athletes and I wish them well in the interschool competition coming up.
I am most grateful to the teachers who have put so much hard work and effort into pulling together these events as part of and in addition to, their day to day classroom teaching. It is time and effort well directed as so much valuable learning happens during the preparation as part of the process. The end result in the culmination of each event is a celebration of the contributions of each and every participant.
