Mathematics

At Point View School, we are committed to developing strong mathematical foundations through the explicit teaching of mathematical knowledge and concepts. Our approach focuses on the sequential development of number knowledge and problem-solving skills, supported by the Maths, No Problem! programme.

Maths, No Problem! helps learners build a deep understanding of mathematical ideas through carefully structured lessons, visual models, and opportunities to explain their thinking. This approach supports learners to develop confidence in mathematics and apply their knowledge to solve problems in meaningful ways.

Teachers work closely with learners, often in small groups, to provide targeted instruction that addresses individual learning needs and builds on existing knowledge. By strengthening core mathematical skills and developing deeper mathematical thinking, we aim to support all learners to make strong progress in mathematics.
