Supporting Excellence: The Point View School Donation

At Point View School, we are committed to providing our learners with a rich, well resourced, and high quality educational experience. While state funding covers our basic operational costs, it is the School Donation that allows us to go above and beyond for our children.

Understanding School Funding

The Ministry of Education uses an Equity Index to determine how much additional funding schools receive. Schools located in areas where learners face higher socio-economic barriers receive significant extra "equity funding" and are eligible for the government’s Donations Scheme (where the government pays the school a set amount per child so they do not have to ask parents for donations).

Because Point View School is located in a high socio-economic area, we are not eligible for this additional scheme. This means we rely heavily on parent donations to bridge the gap and maintain the high standard of staffing and resources our community expects.

How Your Contribution Makes a Difference

Your generous support directly impacts the quality of learning at our school. The school donation allows us to provide:

Enhanced Technology: Up to date devices and software for our modern learning environments.
Specialist Resources: Additional equipment for Physical Education, Science, and the Performing Arts/Music.
Learning Support: Extra resources and staffing to ensure every learner receives the support they need to thrive.
Library & Literacy: A constantly refreshed collection of high interest books and digital literacy tools.

2026 Donation Structure

The suggested annual donation is set at $200 per child for the full year. For families joining our community part way through the year, we offer a pro-rata structure:

Full Year / Term 1 Start: $200
Term 2 Start: $150
Term 3 Start: $100
Term 4 Start: $50

For families who have 3 or more children at Point View School the school donation is $400 for the family.

Flexible Payment via Kindo

We understand that family budgets vary, and we want to make supporting the school as easy as possible. You can choose to pay the donation in full or in smaller installments throughout the year via Kindo, our online school shop.Your contribution is an investment in your child’s future.
